Murray has assembled a slide show to accompany THE ARTIST & THE BASEBALL CARD rental exhibition. The premise of the lecture is to reveal the artist behind the baseball card. For example, Joe Bowler's baseball card image of George Brett, who is in the Baseball Hall of Fame, is shown next to one of Joe's stunning portrait commissions. Joe is one of the leading portrait painters in the country. Another example is the beautiful painting of Lefty Grove by Bart Forbes shown next to one of Bart's award winning illustrations for Sports Illustrated. Murray also offers insights and anecdotes about the artist, and background stories about the creation of the art. This slide show has been given at The Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, as well as museums and universities around the country. All presentations are given with two projectors running simultaneously, and go for approximately ninety minutes, including a question and answer period with the audience.
